This notice explains how selonabeauty.com Enterprise handles personal data you give us when you enquire, book or stay at the lodge, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Who we are
selonabeauty.com Enterprise (SSM 201903219745), No. 7, Lorong Sungai Kapit 3, Taman Rejang, 96800 Kapit, Sarawak, operates the selonabeauty.com lodge and this website. We are the data user responsible for your personal data.
What data we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
- Booking details: dates, room choice, number of adults and children, children's ages and, where needed, weights for life-jacket fitting.
- Information you choose to share: dietary needs, allergies or medical notes relevant to your safety on the river.
- Payment references for deposits made by FPX or DuitNow QR. We do not see or store your card or bank login details.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, confirm and manage your booking, plan boats and meals, keep you safe on the water, meet our legal and accounting duties, and, only if you agree, send occasional updates about seasonal openings.
The enquiry form on this site
The form checks your details in your browser and then lets you send them to us via WhatsApp. The website itself does not transmit or store what you type. Messages you send on WhatsApp are handled by that service under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet accounting requirements, then deleted or anonymised.
Who we share it with
Only with those who need it to deliver your stay: our own staff, a permit-issuing authority or community where a permit is required for a river stretch, our payment providers for deposits, and authorities where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct your personal data, withdraw consent for marketing, or limit how we process it. Send your request to [email protected] or write to the address above; we respond within 21 days. A small fee may apply for copies of records, as allowed under the Act.
Security
Booking records are kept in a password-protected system accessible only to the lodge owners. Paper registration cards are stored in a locked cabinet and shredded after the retention period.
